Came here for trip, had great 2 days overall. Overall it was perfectly clean, with an outdoor bathroom. Forest view was a bonus. Could be great for skiing.

We had a really amazing stay for a ski holiday.
Our standard twin room had an electric kettle, an air conditioning, and a personal safe. The quite tight bathroom and the rest was fairly clean. The staff were incredibly nice, the breakfast was tasty. The location couldn't be more good to one ski lift which then gave access to the rest of Happo One...

The unit was spotlessly clean and well-equipped with an electric kettle and a fridge. Breakfast was savory and delicious, with fantastic food options. the hotel features a nice building situated in a stunning location, conveniently close to a restaurant and pub, as well as the bus stop at Mominoki. We enjoyed exceptional dining experiences in Hakuba. the service was excellent throughout our stay.

Location convenient to shuttles and ski rentals
Old and run down. Carpet was old and worn and stained. Quality of amenities (if any) were of a standard of a motel or hostel. For the price, the place was bitterly disappointing and I would not stay there again.

Loved savoury breakfast, adequate and large room.
I booked a room with an extremely comfy bed, central heating, a personal safe, and multi-channel TV. The location was marvellous: stores and convenience stores were within walking distance. The staff was accommodating and outstandingly accommodating and provided great services.

Location near base of ski resort, welcome center bus depot next to hotel, easy transportation to other area ski resorts, great selection of equipment for rental at welcome center across from hotel. Hotel breakfast buffet excellent selection / quality to choose from. Rooms very quiet with great view of woods / nature in back of hotel - peaceful!
bathroom / shower facilities in-room are somewhat dated - clearly added after building was constructed with large step-up into the bathroom from floor of the room...somewhat awkward getting in/out of bathroom with tired legs after day of skiing.

Staff and coziness of the place
Probably time for a bit of a makeover, but if that would change the price then not warranted

We were upgraded to a suite, which was a nice large room with dining area. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location to the nearest lift was within a few minutes walk. The Onsen was a great way to relax after a day's skiing.
1. The hotel is like a trip back to the 90s. The decor is very dated (though it doesn't look tired). 2. The front desk advertises 1 day lift passes for Y4100 and 2 days for Y6500 - we asked for 2 days x 2 persons and were charged Y14000 + Y1000 deposit - when I queried this was told that as it was the weekend the 2 day lift pass were Y500 extra per person - though it did not say this anywhere on the sign. 3.Check out was at the early time of 10 am - we asked if we could have a later check out and were told it would cost Y1500 per hour - so we didn't bother. 4. The temperature in the room was very hot and we were unable to turn it down- all we could do was turn the fan off. Ended up leaving the door to the balcony open at night to let in some fresh air. The whole of the hotel was also very hot including the dining room and the massage room. Need to install adjustable heating so guests can have it to their liking. 5.Finally don't forget to take your hairdryer with you - the one provided in our room was like the ones found in a 1980s public swimming baths - would take forever to dry your hair - I washed my hair in the room and went to the Onsen changing rooms to dry it as they had more up to date ones. This hotel could be "fantastic" if it had a complete makeover and was brought up to date.
